Sabrina Sabatini is a Full Professor of Molecular Biology at the Sapienza University of Rome. Her research focuses on plant developmental biology, particularly the mechanisms by which stem cell niches are established and maintained, and how the transition from cell proliferation to differentiation is regulated in plant roots. A central question in plant biology underpinning her work is how plants generate highly ordered structures while retaining the flexibility to adapt their growth to changing environmental conditions.
