Dr Vijayalaxmi Gupta is Senior Scientist, Department of obstetrics and Gynecology at Washington University. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Microbiology from Ramnarain Ruia College and The Institute of Science in Mumbai respectively. Her PhD dissertation thesis was on identification and characterization of human sperm antigens involved in fertilization from National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Mumbai. Dr Gupta later moved to University of Kansas Medical Center where she worked on several projects including male contraception using small molecule inhibitors, pancreatic cancer initiation/progression/metastasis, and breast cancer. She is currently working on PARPi-resistant ovarian cancer therapeutics. She has published several peer reviewed manuscripts and presented her work at various international conferences. She has been reviewer for several peer reviewed journals like Scientific Reports, Cancers (Basel), Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, American journal of reproductive immunology, Genes, Biomedicines etc. Dr Gupta is also involved in training and mentoring research assistants, lab technicians, high school students, and medical students.
