Hplc Chemiluminescence

HPLC chemiluminescence is an analytical approach that combines high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) separation with chemiluminescent detection to identify and measure chemical compounds with high sensitivity. In HPLC, a sample’s components travel through a packed column at different rates, then react after separation with a reagent that produces light through a chemical oxidation or enzyme-mediated reaction. A detector records the emitted light, linking signal intensity to analyte concentration and enabling selective measurement at low levels. In medicine, this approach can support analysis of pharmaceuticals, metabolites, hormones, and other clinically relevant compounds, strengthening drug quality testing, biomedical research, and laboratory investigations.

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

2023

Source: Dr. Paul Bower - Purdue University High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is an important analytical method commonly used to separate and quantify components of liquid samples. In this technique, a solution (first phase) is pumped through a column that contains a packing of small porous particles with a second phase bound to the surface. The different solubilities of the sample components in the two phases cause the components to move through the column with different average...
