Motor Function Analysis

Motor function analysis is the systematic assessment of how the nervous system plans, controls, and executes movement, making it essential for linking neural activity to behavior. It examines features such as strength, coordination, balance, reaction time, and movement accuracy through structured behavioral tasks and quantitative measurements, which can reveal changes in motor control. In neuroscience, these analyses help characterize brain and spinal cord function, evaluate the effects of injury or disease, and assess recovery after treatment. They also support studies of motor learning and provide objective outcomes for comparing experimental groups or tracking functional change over time.
