Ocean Model

The OCEAN model is a psychological framework that describes personality through five broad trait dimensions: Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism. It works by assessing patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behavior, typically through standardized questionnaires that place individuals along continuous scales rather than assigning fixed types. Researchers use these trait profiles to study personality structure, behavior, well-being, relationships, and individual differences across populations. In applied settings, the model supports psychological assessment and research on how stable tendencies relate to academic performance, occupational behavior, health, and social functioning, while recognizing that traits can interact with context and do not determine behavior on their own.

This protocol details an in vitro model of the catheterized urinary tract, which can be used to study both planktonic and biofilm-associated bacterial cell populations in simulated catheter-associated urinary tract infections. This model can be further utilized to study the efficacy of antimicrobial products aimed at controlling urinary tract infections.

Here, we present a systematic approach for developing physiologically relevant, sensitive and specific in vivo assays for interpreting variation in human pathology. Transient genetic manipulation via microinjection of WT and mutant human mRNA and morpholino (MO) antisense oligonucleotides harness the tractability of the developing zebrafish embryo to rapidly assay pathogenic mutations, especially, but not exclusively, in the context of human developmental disorders.

This work describes methods to establish acute and chronic hyperglycemia models in zebrafish. The aim is to investigate the impact of hyperglycemia on physiological processes, such as constitutive and injury-induced neurogenesis. The work also highlights the use of zebrafish to follow radiolabeled molecules (here, [18F]-FDG) using PET/CT.

Physical models representing molecular architectures of chemical compounds play essential roles in understanding chemistry. The use of molecular models makes it easier to visualize the structures and shapes of atoms and molecules. Skeletal Model Simpler two-dimensional representations of chemical compounds are accomplished using skeletal models. The illustration shows only the molecular framework or bonds without explicitly showing the atoms. In this representation, many of the carbon atoms...
