Q1: What are the main components of the skeletal system?
The skeletal system comprises bones, cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. Bones are hard connective tissue forming the internal support structure. Cartilage is semi-rigid tissue providing flexibility at joints. Tendons connect muscles to bones, transmitting muscle forces for movement. Ligaments connect bones to each other, stabilizing joints while allowing controlled movement.
