This article describes a microfluidic device setup for drug infusion and neural signal recording in a mouse brain. The process involves precise electrode placement and drug delivery to study neural activity.
Simultaneous drug infusion and electrophysiological recording using a microfluidic-based microinjectrode system enables precise interrogation of neural circuits in vivo. This integrated approach supports mechanistic de-risking and target validation by allowing real-time assessment of compound effects on neural activity. The method enhances predictive confidence at the discovery and preclinical interface for CNS-targeted portfolios.
