Cd3+ Antibody

A CD3+ antibody, commonly called an anti-CD3 antibody, is an immunological reagent that recognizes the CD3 protein complex associated with the T-cell receptor on T lymphocytes. By binding CD3, the antibody can label T cells for detection and, when it cross-links CD3 molecules, trigger signals that promote T-cell activation, proliferation, or cytokine production depending on the experimental conditions. These antibodies support flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, T-cell isolation, and functional assays in immunology and cell biology. They help quantify T-cell populations, examine immune responses, and investigate signaling pathways relevant to infection, autoimmunity, cancer, and therapeutic development.

Overview Antibodies, also known as immunoglobulins (Ig), are essential players of the adaptive immune system. These antigen-binding proteins are produced by B cells and make up 20 percent of the total blood plasma by weight. In mammals, antibodies fall into five different classes, which each elicits a different biological response upon antigen binding. The Y-Shaped Structure of Antibodies Consists of Four Polypeptide Chains Antibodies consist of four polypeptide chains: two identical heavy...

2015

A method is described with visual accompaniment for conducting scalable, high throughput selections from phage-displayed combinatorial synthetic antibody libraries against hundreds of antigens simultaneously. Using this parallel approach, we have isolated antibody fragments that exhibit high affinity and specificity for diverse antigens that are functional in standard immunoassays.

An In Vivo Technique to Track Bispecific Antibody-Induced T Cell Trafficking to Tumors

2025

This video demonstrates a method for tracking bispecific antibody-induced T cell trafficking to tumors in a mouse model. Luciferase-transduced effector T cells are injected into a mouse with a subcutaneous tumor cell xenograft. Bispecific antibodies are then introduced, binding to T cells and the tumor cells. The localization of the T cells is tracked using bioluminescent imaging, with the magnitude of the signal indicating the extent of T cell infiltration into the tumor.
