Microdispenser Use

Microdispenser use involves delivering precise, very small volumes of liquids or biological material for controlled laboratory experiments. A microdispenser forms and releases individual droplets by applying regulated pressure, mechanical displacement, or piezoelectric actuation through a fine nozzle, with volume controlled by the device settings and fluid properties. In biology, this technique supports accurate reagent addition, cell or microorganism deposition, sample preparation, and construction of patterned assays. By reducing reagent consumption and improving placement precision, microdispensers enable reproducible workflows in cell culture, single-cell analysis, diagnostics, and high-throughput screening.

Three-dimensional co-culture spheroid angiogenesis assay system is designed to mimic the physiologic angiogenesis. Co-culture spheroids are formed by two human vascular cell precursors, ECFCs and MSCs, and embedded in collagen gel. The new system is effective for evaluating angiogenic modulators, and provides more relevant information to the in vivo study.
