Hbr Hcl Hi

HBr, HCl, and HI are hydrogen halides, binary compounds of hydrogen with bromine, chlorine, and iodine, respectively, that serve as important reagents and strong acids in aqueous chemistry. In water, they dissociate to form hydronium ions and halide ions, while differences in H–X bond strength and polarity influence their reactivity and acid strength. HCl, HBr, and HI support acid-base reactions, halide substitution, and the synthesis of inorganic and organic compounds, making them useful for studying proton transfer, nucleophilic chemistry, and reaction mechanisms in laboratory settings.

2013

We combined frequency-domain near-infrared spectroscopy measures of cerebral hemoglobin oxygenation with diffuse correlation spectroscopy measures of cerebral blood flow index to estimate an index of oxygen metabolism. We tested the utility of this measure as a bedside screening tool to evaluate the health and development of the newborn brain.

We present a protocol for the synthesis of RGD-functionalized hydrogels as devices for cell and drug delivery. The procedure involves copper catalyzed alkyne-azide cycloaddition (CuAAC) between alkyne-modified polyacrylic acid (PAA) and a RGD-azide derivative. The hydrogels are formed using microwave-assisted polycondensation and their physicochemical properties are investigated.

(2016)The video demonstrates a negative chromatography technique to purify a virulence-associated protein from a bacterial lysate. By using a positively charged resin in a buffered solution, host-cell proteins are selectively retained, while the near-neutral target protein remains unbound and is collected in the...
