Humidity Aging Protocol

A humidity aging protocol is a controlled method for evaluating how moisture affects the stability, performance, and chemical properties of a material or product over time. In this approach, samples are exposed to defined relative humidity and temperature conditions for a specified period, then examined for changes such as degradation, physical damage, altered composition, or loss of function. In chemistry, humidity aging supports stability testing, formulation development, packaging assessment, and quality control by revealing moisture sensitivity and potential failure pathways. Consistent sample preparation, environmental monitoring, exposure duration, and post-aging analysis improve reproducibility and help predict storage behavior.

An Introduction to Aging and Regeneration

2023

Tissues are maintained through a balance of cellular aging and regeneration. Aging refers to the gradual loss of cellular function, and regeneration is the repair of damaged tissue generally mediated by preexisting adult or somatic stem cells. Scientists are interested in understanding the biological mechanisms behind these two complex processes. By doing so, researchers may be able to use somatic stem cells to treat degenerative diseases and develop therapies that could delay the effects of...
