Streptavidin Phycoerythrin

Streptavidin phycoerythrin is a fluorescent protein conjugate used to detect biotinylated molecules in immunology, infection research, and other biomedical assays. Streptavidin binds biotin with exceptionally high affinity, while the attached phycoerythrin emits bright fluorescence when excited by an appropriate light source, allowing labeled targets to be visualized or quantified. Researchers use this reagent in flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, immunoassays, and cell-based analyses to identify immune-cell markers, measure antibody or antigen binding, and track biotinylated probes. Its strong signal and versatile biotin-streptavidin interaction support sensitive detection of cellular and molecular responses during infection studies.
