Lesion Customization Patient

Lesion customization in patient care refers to adapting the evaluation and treatment of a lesion to its specific features and to the individual’s clinical needs, rather than applying a uniform protocol. Clinicians integrate lesion location, size, morphology, tissue involvement, symptoms, medical history, and diagnostic findings to characterize disease and select an appropriate intervention, while adjusting the plan as the patient responds. This approach supports individualized diagnosis, risk assessment, procedural planning, follow-up, and communication across specialties, with the goal of improving safety and preserving function. It also provides a framework for precision medicine when lesions vary substantially between patients.
