Multilevel Olif

Multilevel OLIF, or multilevel oblique lumbar interbody fusion, is a minimally invasive spinal fusion technique that treats degeneration or deformity across two or more lumbar levels while limiting disruption of posterior spinal muscles. Through an oblique retroperitoneal corridor, the surgeon removes diseased intervertebral discs, places bone graft and interbody cages, and restores disc height and alignment; this can provide indirect nerve-root decompression by enlarging foraminal spaces. The approach may be combined with posterior instrumentation to improve stability. Multilevel OLIF is used in selected patients with lumbar stenosis, spondylolisthesis, degenerative disc disease, or adult spinal deformity, supporting alignment correction and functional recovery.
