Root Canal Detection

Root canal detection is the diagnostic process used to identify disease or damage within a tooth’s pulp and surrounding tissues and determine whether endodontic treatment may be needed. Clinicians combine a patient’s symptoms and dental history with visual examination, percussion, palpation, and thermal or electric sensibility tests, while dental radiographs help reveal caries, root structure, bone loss, or periapical changes. Accurate interpretation is important because no single test reliably defines pulpal or periapical status. In medicine and dentistry, this approach supports earlier diagnosis, distinguishes endodontic disease from other sources of pain, guides treatment planning, and helps preserve teeth while limiting unnecessary procedures.

Nutrients present in particulate form can contribute significantly to the overall loads in agricultural drainage waters. This study describes a novel method to capture flow-weighted water and suspended particulates from farm canal drainage over the entire duration of the drainage event.

A Technique for Harvesting and Dissociating Dorsal Root Ganglia for Neuronal Cultures

2025

This video demonstrates a method for harvesting neurons from the dorsal root ganglia (DRG). DRG from a rat's spinal column is isolated, treated with enzymes, and then mechanically dissociated to obtain a single-cell suspension. The neurons are separated from glial cells using density gradient centrifugation and cultured in a growth medium.

Full-root aortic valve replacement by stentless aortic xenograft is a viable option in patients with small aortic roots. We describe, a technique for the full-root implantation of stentless aortic xenografts, with emphasis on the management of the proximal suture line and coronary anastomoses, and discuss its limitations and alternative options.
