Danielle studied BSc Biochemistry at the University of Nottingham, UK. She has lived in three different countries, including seven years in Barbados where she started her proofreading business, volunteered as a missionary, and organised and participated in various conferences, including the annual Barbados Alzheimer’s Association conference. She has over 10 years’ experience in academic and professional publishing, from freelance copyediting for novels and research papers to growing scientific journals. As Journal Development Manager at JoVE, Danielle focuses on enhancing journal reach, author engagement, and content quality through strategic development and collaboration with the global research community. She is passionate about improving the accessibility and impact of scientific communication through innovative, visual publishing.
