Dr. Fenghua Yang earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Guelph, Canada, where she specialized in myocardial molecular biology and animal models of disease. She currently serves as Head of the Cardiovascular Animal Model Research Group at the Guangdong Provincial Biotechnology Research Institute (China), a member of its Academic Committee and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and a member of the Leading Group for the Construction of the Guangdong Provincial Large Animal Model Research Center; she is also recognized as a High-Level Foreign Talent in Guangdong Province. Dr. Yang holds editorial board positions for The Acta Laboratorium Animalis Scientia Sinica and Chinese Journal of Comparative Medicine. Furthermore, she is a committee member of the Cardiovascular Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Pathophysiology and the Chinese Section of the International Society for Heart Research (ISHR), a member of the ISHR China Translational Medicine Working Committee, and a committee member of the Miniature Pig Professional Committee of the Chinese Association for Laboratory Animal Sciences.
