Janaína Dutra, PhD, is a Medical Physicist specializing in Nuclear Medicine. She holds a PhD in Radioprotection and Dosimetry (IRD – CNEN – Brazil), where her research explored the structure of medical physics as a scientific field, including network and graph theory analyses of collaborations among authors and faculty in the area. During her training, she also spent a study period at the Technische Fachhochschule Berlin in Germany. Her work focused on radiation protection, quality assurance in nuclear medicine, and improving patient and occupational safety in the use of ionizing radiation in healthcare. She was also involved in interdisciplinary research projects, including the development of 3D-printed devices for quality control and dosimetry, as well as studies on gender equity and diversity in physics and STEM. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and is a big fan of Brazilian Carnival. janaina.dutra@jove.com
