Milica Markovic holds an honors degree in Technological Engineering (Chemical and Biochemical Engineering) from the University of Nis and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology (Microbiology) from the University of Novi Sad. Her career later took her to Brazil, where work at a biotech startup sparked her curiosity about how knowledge crosses fields, languages, and cultures. Milica has always been drawn to translation—not just of language, but of ideas. As a Scrum Master, she translated client needs into actionable plans, bridging technical and strategic perspectives. As a Science Editor at JoVE, she aims to help communicate complex scientific ideas in accessible, meaningful ways. Beyond her professional life, Milica explores how art can express and translate ideas across cultural and disciplinary boundaries. milica.markovic@jove.com
