Sebastian Clauss

Dr. Clauss finished Medical School at LMU Munich in 2009, received his doctorate degree at the Department of Clinical Biochemistry under the supervision of Prof. H.-J. Anders in 2010, started a clinical fellowship at LMU Hospital under the supervision of Prof. G. Steinbeck/Prof. S. Kääb, worked as a postdoctoral fellow at MGH/Harvard Medical School in Boston/USA under the supervision of Prof. P. Ellinor, received board certification in cardiology in 2020 and is currently working as a clinician-scientist at LMU Munich. His clinical focus is hereditary arrhythmia syndromes and sudden cardiac death. His research interest is to investigate arrhythmia mechanisms with special focus on genetic, metabolic and immunologic effects on the heart. The translationally-oriented research group I established works with human patients, mouse models, and pig models.
