Cellular Imaging

Cellular imaging is the use of microscopy and labeling methods to visualize cells, their structures, and dynamic activities, making otherwise invisible biological organization measurable. In fluorescence imaging, specific molecules are tagged with fluorescent dyes or proteins, and excitation light produces signals that optical systems capture to generate detailed images; related approaches may use transmitted light, electron beams, or live-cell reporters. In biology, cellular imaging reveals processes such as cell division, protein localization, signaling, and organelle movement. These observations support research in development, disease mechanisms, drug evaluation, and quantitative analysis of cell behavior over time.
