Ide-1 Small Molecule

Ide-1 small molecule is a synthetic compound that promotes the differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into definitive endoderm, an embryonic germ layer that gives rise to organs such as the liver, pancreas, and gut. In developmental biology models, Ide-1 activates endodermal gene programs by stimulating Nodal-related signaling, guiding cells away from pluripotency toward an endodermal fate. Researchers use this compound to study early germ-layer specification and to generate endoderm-like cells in controlled culture systems. These applications support investigations of embryonic development, disease mechanisms, and strategies for producing specialized cells for regenerative research.

Atoms and Molecules Everything in the universe is made up of matter, and matter is composed of a combination of elements. An atom is the smallest unit of an element that retains all properties of the element. For example, a silver coin is made up of silver atoms, and each silver atom retains the unique properties of the element — silver. Elements are pure substances consisting of identical atoms that cannot be broken down into simpler substances by chemical changes. Atomic elements contain...
