Flange Welding

Flange welding is the process of permanently joining a pipe flange to a pipe or fitting, creating a strong connection for assembling, sealing, and servicing piping systems. The joint forms when a controlled heat source melts the prepared pipe and flange surfaces, often with filler metal, producing a circumferential weld that must maintain alignment and limit distortion. Proper joint preparation, welding parameters, and inspection help ensure pressure integrity and reliable load transfer. In engineering, flange welding supports fluid, gas, and steam systems in industries such as chemical processing, power generation, water treatment, and oil and gas, where safe, maintainable connections are essential.
