Collaboration Networks

Collaboration networks are systems that represent relationships among people, laboratories, institutions, or disciplines, revealing how knowledge and expertise move through research communities. In immunology and infection, network analysis models investigators or organizations as nodes and joint publications, grants, data sharing, or other partnerships as edges; measures such as connectivity, centrality, and clustering can identify influential participants and tightly linked groups. These networks help map research capacity, expose gaps between specialties, and evaluate how partnerships support studies of host defense, pathogens, vaccines, and outbreak response. They can also guide strategic collaborations and strengthen coordination when rapid, cross-disciplinary investigation is needed.

A collaborative composite manufacturing system is developed for robotic lay-up of composite laminates using the prepreg tape.
