Hpv 16 E6 E7 Proteins

HPV16 E6 and E7 proteins are viral oncoproteins produced by high-risk human papillomavirus type 16, where they disrupt cellular defenses and contribute to persistent infection and cancer development. E6 recruits the E6-associated protein ubiquitin ligase to promote degradation of the tumor suppressor p53, while E7 binds and inactivates retinoblastoma protein, releasing E2F transcription factors and driving inappropriate cell-cycle progression. Their effects on apoptosis, proliferation, and immune recognition make E6 and E7 central subjects in immunology and infection research. Studying these proteins supports biomarker development, investigation of HPV-associated cancers, and design of therapeutic vaccines and targeted antiviral strategies.

Cattell's 16 Personality Factors

2025

Raymond Cattell's trait theory offers a structured framework for understanding personality by distinguishing between two critical traits: surface and source traits. Surface traits are observable patterns of behavior, such as indecisiveness, anxiety, and irrational fears. These traits are less stable, varying across situations and over time. This means that they are less helpful in understanding the deeper aspects of an individual's personality. In contrast, source traits are the fundamental,...

Human papillomavirus (HPV) RNA chromogenic in situ hybridization is considered to be one of the gold standards for active human papillomavirus infection detection within tumors. It allows the visualization of HPV E6-E7 mRNA expression with localization and semiquantitative evaluation of its signal.

Promoting 3-D Aggregation of FACS Purified Thymic Epithelial Cells with EAK 16-II/EAKIIH6 Self-assembling Hydrogel

This video demonstrates a protocol to enrich thymic epithelial cells (TECs) with density gradient for FACS isolation. It also shows the use of EAK16-II/EAKIIH6 peptides to promote the TEC aggregate formation. The microenvironments of EAK16-II/EAKIIH6 hydrogel provide the 3-D configuration necessary to maintain the survival and function of the TECs.
