Mp-tscpc System

The MP-TSCPC system is a laser-based ophthalmic platform for transscleral cyclophotocoagulation, a treatment that lowers intraocular pressure by targeting the eye’s ciliary body. Its probe delivers micropulsed diode-laser energy through the sclera in repeated bursts separated by cooling intervals, reducing aqueous humor production while limiting continuous heat exposure to surrounding tissues. Clinicians use MP-TSCPC primarily for glaucoma, particularly when intraocular pressure remains difficult to control with medications or conventional procedures. By providing a nonincisional approach to ciliary-body treatment, the system supports pressure management and expands therapeutic options for patients with complex or refractory disease.

Marginal Propensity to Consume

2025

The marginal propensity to consume (MPC) describes how much of an additional dollar of disposable income a household is likely to spend rather than save. It provides insight into consumer behavior and is a foundational component in the analysis of fiscal policy effectiveness and national income determination.Concept and MeasurementMPC is measured as the ratio of the change in consumption (ΔC) to the change in disposable income (ΔY), expressed as:MPC = ΔC / ΔYFor example, if an individual's...

2011

Alkanethiolate stabilized gold colloids known as monolayer protected clusters (MPCs) are synthesized, characterized, and assembled into thin films as an adsorption interface for protein monolayer electrochemistry of simple redox protein like Pseudomonas aeruginosa azurin (AZ) and cytochrome c (cyt c).

2016

Here we describe an optimized, highly reproducible protocol to isolate Mesodermal Progenitor Cells (MPCs) from human bone marrow (hBM). MPCs were characterized by flow cytometry and nestin expression. They showed the ability to give rise to exponentially growing MSC-like cell cultures while retaining their angiogenic potential.

Here, we describe a protocol for isolation and culture of murine pulmonary endothelial cells. This method comprises mechanic and enzymatic lung tissue dissociation as well as a 2-step purification process using anti-PECAM-1 and anti-ICAM-2 antibodies conjugated to magnetic beads, which produces a pure endothelial cell population of mostly microvascular origin.

Chromatin Immunoprecipitation from Human Embryonic Stem Cells

2008

The differentiation of ESC coincides with cell-type specific changes in the structure and composition of chromatin. The detection of those changes provides valuable insights into the mechanisms that define stemcellness and cell differentiation. Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) represents a valuable method to dissect the molecular mechanisms underlying stem cell differentiation.
