Icr Mice

ICR mice are an outbred laboratory mouse stock used to model biological variation and disease-related phenotypes, making them useful when responses across genetically diverse individuals matter. Their breeding structure preserves genetic diversity, so traits such as behavior, physiology, and drug sensitivity can vary among animals rather than remain uniform as in inbred lines. In neuroscience, researchers use ICR mice in behavioral assays, neuropharmacology, toxicology, and studies of development or stress, where variable responses can help assess how genetic background influences neural function and treatment outcomes.

2017

The low-energy water-accommodated fraction (LEWAF) of crude oil is a challenging system to analyze, because over time, this complex mixture undergoes chemical transformations. This protocol illustrates methods for the preparation of the LEWAF sample and for performing photo-irradiation and chemical analysis by trapped ion mobility spectrometry–FT-ICR MS.

Deficits in muscular strength occur in many clinical conditions such as motor neuron disease. The inverted screen and weight lifting tests described here measure strength in mice almost exclusively, with minimal influence of factors such as coordination.

Small Bowel Transplantation In Mice

The mouse small bowel transplantation model has been recognized as an important tool to study mechanismes of immune rejection and screen new immunosuppressive drugs. However, this model is limited to use because the techniques involved is an extremely technically challenge. Now we introduce the modified technique.
