Porous Filter Inserts

Porous filter inserts are laboratory devices that divide a culture vessel into separate compartments while allowing controlled exchange of fluids and soluble molecules through a porous membrane. In biological techniques, cells are typically seeded on or beneath the membrane, and pore size, membrane material, and medium conditions regulate diffusion, cell access, and physical separation; in migration assays, cells can move through pores in response to a chemical gradient. These inserts support transwell migration and invasion studies, barrier and transport measurements, and co-culture experiments in which cell populations communicate without direct contact, helping researchers model tissue interfaces and quantify cellular behavior under defined conditions.

Passive Filters

2024

Passive filters are utilized to shape the frequency spectrum of signals across a diverse array of applications. These filters, using only passive elements like resistors (R), inductors (L), and capacitors (C), are capable of selectively allowing or blocking certain frequency ranges without the need for external power sources. Low-Pass Filters Low-pass filters are designed to transmit signals with frequencies lower than the cutoff frequency, ωc, and attenuate those above it. The cutoff frequency...
