Regenerative Approaches

Regenerative approaches are strategies that restore damaged or lost tissues by stimulating the body’s repair processes or replacing cells, tissues, or supportive structures. They work through coordinated interactions among stem or progenitor cells, growth signals, extracellular matrix, and the local tissue environment, which regulate cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation. In cancer research, these approaches help model how tumors interact with regenerative signals and support the repair of tissues affected by surgery, radiation, or other treatments. Their study can clarify links between tissue regeneration and cancer development while guiding safer therapies, engineered tissues, and improved recovery strategies.
