Tbaf Nmp Etchant

TBAF/NMP etchant is a solution of tetrabutylammonium fluoride (TBAF) in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) used to remove silicon oxide and other fluoride-reactive materials in micro- and nanofabrication. The fluoride ions attack silicon-oxygen bonds, converting oxide components into soluble fluorinated species, while the polar aprotic NMP solvent helps maintain a workable, nonaqueous etching environment. Engineers use this etchant for surface cleaning, oxide pattern transfer, sacrificial-layer removal, and selective preparation of silicon-based devices. Its compatibility with nonaqueous processing makes it useful when controlled oxide removal is needed near moisture-sensitive materials or structures.

2025

The neuronal membrane proteasome (NMP) was recently identified in a subset of somatosensory neurons as a key regulator of touch, pain, and itch perception. This article presents a robust workflow for analyzing cell-type-specific NMP expression and function using cell sorting, transcriptome profiling, and culture-based immunofluorescent analyses.

The porcine model of liver normothermic machine perfusion (NMP), described here, can be successfully used to study NMP as a preservation strategy, a tool for viability assessment, and a platform for organ repair. It holds a high translational value, however it is technically challenging and labor-intensive.
