Manuscript Submission

Manuscript submission is the formal process of presenting a scholarly paper to a journal or other publication for editorial evaluation and possible peer review. Authors prepare the manuscript according to the publication’s scope, formatting requirements, ethical standards, and submission system, then provide supporting materials such as a cover letter, declarations, and data or resource statements when requested. Information literacy helps researchers identify credible journals, assess author guidelines, recognize predatory publishing practices, and communicate evidence accurately. Successful submission begins the editorial workflow, which may lead to peer review, revision, acceptance, or rejection while strengthening the transparency and reliability of scientific communication.

Though European rabbits are a social species, socially housing them can be challenging. Therefore, there must be a thorough understanding of behaviors and social structures of pair-housed laboratory rabbits. Here we present a protocol to identify pairing methods, species-typical hierarchy establishment behaviors and behaviors that warrant appropriate intervention.
