3d Motion Tracking

3D Motion Tracking is a method for measuring and reconstructing the position, orientation, and movement of objects or body parts in three-dimensional space, supporting objective analysis in medicine. The system combines data from cameras, markers, depth sensors, or inertial sensors and uses calibrated spatial coordinates to calculate motion over time. In clinical and biomedical research, it can quantify gait, joint motion, posture, and motor performance during assessment, rehabilitation, or treatment. These measurements help clinicians identify movement abnormalities, evaluate recovery, guide interventions, and develop more precise models of human movement.

Using Eye-tracking to Assess the Relative Importance of Visual and Vestibular Input to Subcortical Motion Processing in the Roll Plane

2025

The methodology explored visual and vestibular contributions to gaze stabilization during optokinetic and whole-body rotations. Stimulations were carried out through visual, vestibular, and visuovestibular trials. Torsional eye-movement gain and nystagmus frequencies served as indicators for the subcortical relay of sensory-specific motion information towards the reflexive brainstem response for each trial.
