Ligament Augmentation

Ligament augmentation is a surgical technique that strengthens a repaired or reconstructed ligament with a graft, synthetic material, or suture tape. It works by adding load-sharing support across the injured ligament, helping maintain joint stability while biological healing or graft incorporation occurs; fixation devices anchor the augmentation to bone and control tension during movement. In medicine, this approach is used for selected knee, ankle, shoulder, and other ligament injuries, particularly when tissue quality is poor or early rehabilitation is desirable. Outcomes depend on the injury pattern, fixation method, biological healing, and rehabilitation, making augmentation an adjunct rather than a replacement for careful surgical planning.

Augmented Reality (AR) marketing leverages technology to blend digital elements into the physical world, enhancing consumer experiences. By using AR, brands can create immersive and interactive environments, allowing users to visualize products or services in real time. Unlike virtual reality, which immerses users in a fully digital space, AR integrates virtual components into the real world, often via smartphones or specialized devices like AR glasses. This technology provides a unique...

Source: Joseph H. Donroe, Rachel Liu; Yale School of Medicine, USA Point of Care Ultrasound or POCUS is easy to use, has enhanced mobility due to the smaller equipment needed, and may be carried out in a variety of settings. It is also far safer and cheaper than imaging techniques like computer tomography. POCUS can be helpful when certain physical exam findings are difficult to appreciate by palpation, percussion, or auscultation and can facilitate learning elements of the cardiac, pulmonary,...
