Lego Mindstorms Nxt

LEGO Mindstorms NXT is a programmable robotics platform that combines a programmable control brick, motors, sensors, and software for building and testing autonomous machines. The controller receives input from sensors such as touch, light, sound, and ultrasonic detectors, processes programmed instructions, and directs motor output, enabling feedback-based behaviors that model basic sensorimotor control. In neuroscience education and research, NXT robots can provide tangible demonstrations of stimulus-response behavior, motor coordination, navigation, and interactions between sensing and action. These experiments help students connect computational rules and embodied behavior with broader concepts in neural control, while offering an accessible platform for prototyping behavioral models.
