Establishing reliable pathogen culture methods under physiologically relevant conditions is critical for de-risking target validation in anti-infective discovery. This method enables consistent virulence phenotype expression, supporting mechanistic studies of host-pathogen interactions and improving predictive confidence in preclinical models. It addresses a key gap in translating in vitro findings to in vivo relevance by mimicking host-like microaerophilic niches.
This method fits within the early discovery continuum, supporting target validation through biologically relevant pathogen preparation prior to assay deployment and lead identification efforts.
