Adoptive transfer of HBV antigen-specific T cells, combined with hydrodynamic plasmid delivery, enables precise interrogation of immune-mediated viral suppression in a controlled in vivo system. This approach provides a robust platform for evaluating T cell efficacy, mechanistic de-risking, and target validation in antiviral therapeutic development. The model supports predictive confidence for early-stage portfolio decisions in immunotherapy pipelines targeting chronic viral infections.
This method integrates into the discovery-to-preclinical continuum by enabling functional validation of engineered T cells and quantitative assessment of antiviral activity in vivo.
