Archana Mootha

“Archana Mootha has a multidisciplinary background spanning academia, biomedical research, and clinical dentistry. She is a clinically trained and licensed dentist with a master’s degree in dental surgery and advanced training in Periodontology and implants. She later completed her Ph.D., in Advanced Sciences of Matter at Hiroshima University, Japan, where she developed expertise in interdisciplinary biomedical research. She subsequently continued her academic career as an Assistant Professor at Hiroshima University, contributing to research, teaching, and international scientific collaboration. Her research experience encompasses biomaterials, stem cells, regenerative medicine, iPSCs, cell biology, biosensing, and translational biomedical science. She has successfully led competitively funded research supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and has contributed to projects funded by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). She has also coordinated collaborative research involving institutions in Japan, India, and other international academic networks. Her academic work has resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and invited scientific talks. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, reflecting her continued professional development in dentistry. Across these roles, she has worked at the intersection of clinical practice and laboratory science, managing research milestones, grant-funded activities, and cross-institutional initiatives.
