Verena Shafik holds a Master of Science (MSci) in Biomedical Science from the University of Brighton, United Kingdom. As part of her degree, she completed a year-long clinical placement in a haematology laboratory, where she gained hands-on experience in clinical diagnostics and laboratory techniques. Her master’s dissertation focused on identifying non-invasive indicators of age-associated disorders, with a particular emphasis on Alzheimer’s disease models, reflecting her interest in the development of novel diagnostic approaches. Passionate about scientific communication and collaboration, Verena enjoys connecting with researchers from around the world and contributing to the exchange of knowledge across the scientific community.
