3d Cine Mri

3D cine MRI is a time-resolved magnetic resonance imaging technique that produces three-dimensional views of moving anatomy, allowing clinicians to assess structure and function without ionizing radiation. It repeatedly acquires volumetric data, often synchronized with the electrocardiogram, and reconstructs the images into a sequence across the cardiac cycle; differences in magnetic signal between tissues provide anatomical contrast. In medicine, 3D cine MRI supports measurement of ventricular volumes, ejection fraction, myocardial motion, and valve dynamics, while also helping characterize congenital and acquired heart disease. Its comprehensive motion assessment can improve diagnosis, treatment planning, and longitudinal monitoring when two-dimensional imaging is insufficient.

The goal of this study is to use magnetic resonance venography with long-circulating gadolinium-based contrast agent and direct thrombus imaging for quantitative evaluation of DVT volume in a multicenter, clinical trial setting. Inter- and intra-observer variability assessments were conducted, and reproducibility of the protocol was determined.
