Meta-analysis Nursing

Meta-analysis is a statistical research method that combines results from multiple studies to produce a more precise estimate of an effect, association, or outcome. In nursing research, investigators systematically identify relevant evidence, assess study quality, convert findings into comparable effect sizes, and pool them using statistical models while evaluating heterogeneity, publication bias, and confidence in the results. This approach can clarify the effectiveness and safety of nursing interventions, identify factors that influence patient outcomes, and strengthen evidence-based practice. Meta-analyses also help guide clinical guidelines, healthcare policy, education, and priorities for future medical and nursing research.
