Gastric Cancer Exosomes

Gastric cancer exosomes are small extracellular vesicles released by gastric tumor and surrounding cells that carry molecular information between cells, making them important mediators of tumor communication. Formed through the endosomal pathway and released when multivesicular bodies fuse with the plasma membrane, these vesicles transport proteins, lipids, messenger RNAs, and microRNAs that can alter recipient-cell behavior, including signaling, immune responses, invasion, and treatment sensitivity. In cancer research, analyzing exosome cargo and uptake helps clarify tumor progression and the tumor microenvironment while supporting investigation of minimally invasive biomarkers, therapeutic targets, and exosome-based drug delivery strategies for gastric cancer.

Exosome Isolation: A Technique to Separate Exosomes from the Plasma of Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Patients

2023

The plasma-isolated exosomes can be used as a non-invasive and repeatable way for the detection and follow-up of the biomarkers for early detection and disease progression. This video describes the protocol for the separation of exosomes from the plasma samples of non-small cell lung cancer patients, which could be used for DNA and protein extractions.

Laparoscopic Radical Gastrectomy for Remnant Gastric Cancer
