Regular Expression Generation

Regular expression generation is the process of constructing pattern-based rules that describe, match, or extract structured text, making it useful for translating informal requirements into precise computational searches. A generated expression combines literals with operators such as character classes, grouping, alternation, and quantifiers; a regex engine then compares the pattern with an input string through its matching procedure. In engineering, these expressions support input validation, log analysis, data cleaning, search, and automated text processing. Reliable generation requires aligning the pattern with the intended language, handling boundary conditions, and testing representative inputs to reduce false matches and missed cases.

2012

We present a microfluidic approach for the expression of protein arrays. The device consists of thousands of reaction chambers controlled by micro-mechanical valves. The microfluidic device is mated to a microarray-printed gene library. These genes are then transcribed and translated on-chip, resulting in a protein array ready for experimental use.

Generation of Chikungunya Virus-Like Particles Using Baculovirus Expression System in Insect Cells

2025

This video shows how virus-like particles, VLPs are generated by infecting insect cells with a recombinant baculovirus carrying the chikungunya virus gene cassette. The recombinant virus infects cells, leading to VLP formation, assembly, and release into the culture medium for potential use in vaccine production.
