Hanna Primeau is the Health Sciences Librarian, Medical Education Lead, for Dartmouth College’s Dana Biomedical Library. Her role includes consulting others in applying sound pedagogical methods, including incorporating emerging learning technologies as well as empathetic pedagogies into library teaching. Projects she has recently completed are The Ohio State’s AI Fluency Learning Objects created in H5P, something all freshmen will encounter, as well as the completion and first teaching of the course Information, Citizenship and Social Justice at The Dartmouth College as well. Previously, she worked as a Reference and Instruction librarian from 2013 through 2017, providing information literacy instruction, as well as working to expand the reach of the library by creating reusable, interactive learning objects Her research focuses on empathetic teaching practices, and the information beliefs and practices of students, with a focus on GenZ and AI currently.
