Joanne Romano is the Head of Resource Management and Discovery Services at the Texas Medical Center Library in Houston, starting as a serials librarian in 2007. She manages a two-person team to handle license negotiation, acquisitions, access, discovery, publishing support, cataloging and user education for a community of six schools and over 15,000 registered users. Joanne served in leadership roles to help the TMC Library migrate from Intota/Summon to Alma/Primo, and from EZProxy to OpenAthens. She published her library’s OpenAthens experience in an October 2021 issue of the Journal of the Medical Library Association.
