Naomi Abraham has served as the Head of Readers Services at the Bar-Ilan University Libraries and Information Division since 2020. Among her many responsibilities, Ms. Abraham oversees all public service processes across the Division, including circulation, reference, interlibrary loan, and thesis deposit workflows. Naomi strives to ensure an exceptional user experience, both in-person and through digital platforms, and manages the division’s digital media presence, including the website and social networks. Naomi leads multiple service-oriented projects and directly supervises a team of 10 staff members. Naomi is an active member of national and international work groups, currently serving as Chair of MELI (Ex Libris Users in Israel) and represents Israel in the global IGeLU community. Ms. Abraham previously served as Project Leader and Training Coordinator at the Bar-Ilan Law Library, where she managed technology initiatives, including the implementation of Alma and Primo systems, catalog integration projects, and electronic resource maintenance. Naomi has also held positions at Hebrew University and the National Library of Israel, gaining extensive experience in library operations, project management and user education. Ms. Abraham holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, graduating with honors, and a bachelor’s degree in Humanities from the same institution. She is passionate about advancing knowledge services through innovation, collaboration, and user-focused solutions.
