Ruth Harrison is responsible for the strategic management of the Library Services scholarly communications programme for students and staff across the university. Her team provide services, advocacy, advice and guidance over a number of professional areas including open research practice, responsible metrics, copyright and licensing, research data management, and open access publishing. Ruth has worked at Imperial since 1998, and was based primarily in the Civil Engineering Department Library until becoming Team Leader: Learning Development in 2008, and in 2012 took on responsibility for both information literacy and researcher support programmes. As of 2026, the team’s core focus is on engaging Imperial’s communities with good practice across scholarly communications. r.e.harrison@imperial.ac.uk
