Flux Analyzer Plate

A Flux Analyzer Plate is a specialized microplate used with extracellular flux analyzers to assess cellular energy metabolism, making it valuable for comparing metabolic phenotypes in cancer research. During an assay, cells occupy individual wells while the instrument measures changes in oxygen consumption and extracellular acidification, often after sequential additions of metabolic inhibitors or substrates. These measurements estimate mitochondrial respiration and glycolytic activity, helping researchers evaluate how tumor cells respond to drugs, adapt to nutrient conditions, or differ from nonmalignant cells.
