Multi-qc Report

A MultiQC report is a consolidated quality-control summary that combines results from multiple bioinformatics tools and samples in a single, readable document. MultiQC scans analysis directories, recognizes supported output files, extracts standardized metrics, and presents them through tables and visualizations, allowing researchers to compare data quality across experiments. In genetics, these reports help evaluate sequencing runs, identify low-quality samples, detect batch effects, and assess pipeline performance before downstream analyses such as variant calling or gene expression studies. By bringing disparate quality measures together, MultiQC supports reproducible, efficient, and informed interpretation of genomic data.

To obtain basic information on the sorption and recycling of gold from aqueous systems the interaction of Au(III) and Au(0) nanoparticles on S-layer proteins were investigated. The sorption of protein polymers was investigated by ICP-MS and that of proteinaceous monolayers by QCM-D. Subsequent AFM enables the imaging of the nanostructures.

A Lentiviral Transcriptional Reporter System to Generate a Glioblastoma Stem Cell Differentiation Reporter Line

2025

This video demonstrates a technique to generate a glioblastoma stem cell reporter line to identify the differentiation of glioblastoma stem cells (GSCs) into astroglia. It outlines the steps involved in seeding GSCs, transducing them with a lentivirus encoding GFP, and determining GFP reporter expression through flow cytometry.

The Multi-group Experiment

2023

Source: Laboratories of Gary Lewandowski, Dave Strohmetz, and Natalie Ciarocco—Monmouth University A multi-group design is an experimental design that has 3 or more conditions/groups of the same independent variable. This video demonstrates a multi-group experiment that examines how different interethnic ideologies (multiculturalism and color-blind) influence feelings about diversity and actions toward and out-group member. In providing an overview of how a researcher conducts a multi-group...

Data Reporting and Recording

2023

Reporting and recording are crucial in data documentation. The timely, thorough, and accurate documentation of facts is essential when recording patient data. Failure to record findings during an assessment or interpretation of a problem will result in loss of information and make the patient document unreliable. The reader is left with general impressions if the information is not specific. A recording is documenting data of the individual's health information in a traceable, secure, and...
