Neural Rosette Formation

Neural rosette formation is the organization of neural stem and progenitor cells into radially arranged, tube-like structures that model early neural tissue development in vitro. During this process, cells establish apicobasal polarity, coordinate cell adhesion and cytoskeletal organization, and create a central lumen resembling the developing neural tube. Neural rosettes provide a controlled system for studying neurogenesis, neural patterning, and the transition from proliferating progenitors to differentiated neurons. They are also used in stem cell differentiation, brain organoid development, and disease modeling, helping researchers investigate how developmental disruptions affect nervous system formation.
