Human Porcine Fviii

Human porcine FVIII refers to bioengineered coagulation factor VIII molecules that combine human and porcine protein sequences. Factor VIII functions as a cofactor in the intrinsic tenase complex: after thrombin activation, it works with factor IXa on phospholipid surfaces to accelerate factor X activation and support thrombin generation. Incorporating porcine FVIII regions into a human-derived molecule can modify its functional behavior and recognition by inhibitory antibodies. These engineered variants are studied in bioengineering and hematology to improve replacement therapies for hemophilia A, investigate immune responses, and guide the development of factor VIII products for patients with treatment-limiting inhibitors.

Here we describe a cost-effective technique for organotypic culture of adult porcine retina for seven days. Briefly, a sterile filter paper was used to lift the neural retina off from the RPE and place photoreceptor side up on an insert raised by a custom-made stand.

Purifying Capillaries From a Porcine Brain

This video demonstrates the isolation of capillaries from fresh porcine brains. The process involves removing the meninges, isolating the grey matter from the brain tissue, homogenizing and filtering the grey matter to isolate the capillaries, and finally using enzymatic digestion to purify the capillaries further.

This manuscript describes a novel technique which allows the detection of intracellular gene expression after endocytosis of fluorescence-labeled nanoparticles directly in live cells. The method does not require manipulation of the cells and is not restricted with respect to the target gene or species.

Porcine Cumulus Oocyte Complex Isolation: A Technique to Isolate Cumulus Oocyte Complex from Porcine Ovarian Follicle for In Vitro Fertilization
